LifeServe Blood Center will hold a community blood drive Wednesday, March 16, from 3 to 7 pm at the United Methodist Church in Scranton.
According to LifeServe, only 38 percent of the population is eligible to give blood and of that, less than five percent actually donate. LifeServe Blood Center is committed to providing the right blood product to the right patient at the right time and because of that commitment, LifeServe relies on volunteer blood donors of all blood types to give blood on a regular basis.
Ensuring a stable blood supply throughout the year is only possible when generous, volunteer blood donors roll up their sleeve and give a lifesaving donation.
